In January 2019, I saw an advert for Microblading (eyebrow tattooing) and decided I would give it a go – for those that know me… I am not ‘beauty’ in the slightest!
During my session with the beautician, she was telling me how much she enjoyed working for herself, as it gave her the flexibility to work around childcare requirements.
This resonated with me, as in November 2018, I was blessed with the birth of my daughter, Harley Rose. This got me thinking whilst I was laying on the treatment bed thinking that I need to do something for my daughter – and as a registered nurse who worked 10-12 hour shifts (pre-maternity) I thought to myself… I can do this. I want to do this.
… and that was it! The penny dropped and with fresh new eyebrows, I walked away from my session and thought about how much time I could now dedicate to being a new mum. And now with semi-permanent eyebrows, I could literally wake up and get on with my day.
(And for all those mums out there, you know how little time you have for yourself when trying to get a wriggling baby cleaned and dressed in the morning, let alone do your make up!)
